Xiaomi and Realme had a great year last year and but looks like this year is gonna be a little different. Samsung clearly felt the aftershock of the leap both companies took in India and now Samsung has decided to go head-to-head against the market leaders with its low-tier and mid-tier Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 devices.

Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 specifications:

Galaxy M10 is the lower end device and comes with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. The device comes with internal storage of 16 GB or 32 GB. The device also sports a 6.22-inches HD+ LCD panel with a waterdrop notch up top claiming the right to first notched phone from Samsung.

On the camera department the Galaxy M10 comes with 13MP and 5MP ultra-wide angle on the back which is a rare sight on the devices of this price point. Overall the device is powered by 3,400 mAh battery with is lower than devices from both Xiaomi and Realme.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy M20 comes with Exynos 7904 chipset. The device comes equipped with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage. With waterdrop notch up top the device’s display measures 6.3-inches and is full HD+ LCD panel. Galaxy M20 is powered by whopping 5,000 mAh battery and sports the same 13MP+5MP rear camera.

For the selfie camera we are looking at 5MP for the Galaxy M10 and 8MP for the Galaxy M20. The Galaxy M10 has no fingerprint sensor for security and the M20 sports a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

Both devices come with a headphone jack which is becoming the norm at this price point when expensive ones are leaving it out. As for the charging port the cheaper Galaxy M10 comes with a micro-USB port to USB-C of Galaxy M20, which is disappointing. While the Galaxy M10 supports fast charging, the M10 does not. And we are already seeing Android Q while both device come with older Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.5.
